Beşiktaş are expected to complete the transfer of Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Paul Robinson tomorrow.

The former England International will arrive in Istanbul, Turkey within two days to finalize the deal and sign pen to paper.

Beşiktaş are looking to replace veteran keeper Rüştü Reçber who announced his retirement and Cenk Gönen who has been inconsistent.

The Istanbul club had the joint worst defensive record among the top-four clubs in the Turkish Super League last season, conceding 39 goals in the regular league campaign.

Robinson joined The Rovers from Tottenham Hotspur for €4.4 million in 2008. The 1.93m tall goalkeeper has played 150 games for the Lancashire based club over the past four seasons.

Beşiktaş is estimated to be in debt to tune of €200 million, Chairman Fikret Orman has made it his priority to resolve the current situation and create a more sustainable future.

Beşiktaş finished last season in fourth position, however, will not be participating in the Europa League this year. UEFA suspended the Istanbul club from European competitions for one-year due to the club's ongoing financial problems.

Beşiktaş were investigated by UEFA for misleading the European football governing body in the second and third quarters of 2011, non-payment of players wages and ruled that they violated articles of the recently implemented financial fair play regulations.
